When duty calls, Audrey bakes. This is what Friend Cakes is all about. Audrey started baking for friends birthday’s, special events, and even just casual get togethers. After encouragement from the same group of friends, she decided to make her hobby into a business. “There’s something universal about the joy of sweets!” she once told me. The attitude of baking homemade cakes for friends became the theme of the branding for Friend Cakes. To capture that homemade feeling, I hand painted each illustration using watercolors and transferred them to use digitally. We’ve made wallpapers, stickers, and even used them on her website. In the same spirit, we wanted the logo and the color palette to represent what Audrey’s cakes are all about - heartwarming homemade friendships.
